From all the websites I've seen, the standard steel for the Leeks are 440A. But in my Kershaw catalog (2007) it says that Leeks all have either S30V or Sandvik blades. Did it change? If so, when? And, when I'm comparing at the knife shop, how can I tell which have 440A and which are the newer (better) steels?

Leeks made with S30V have that lasered on the lower part
of the blade near where it joins the handle.

The stonewashe S30V blade is awesome. I got it on a Leek with a G10 handle and it is a great combination.

To add, we still have not changed over to 13C26 on the Leeks. I will try to get a date on the change over once I return from the show next week.
