My 73 in stag. I simply cannot stop carrying this beaut.

Anyone else have a really strong pull on their 73's? Mine is HEAVY. I like that but my fingernails do not. :D

Redsparrow can you spare me some thoughts on the linerlock 73? I'm on the fence right now and I wonder how it sits in your hand.

I prefer the liner lock 73 over a lockless. I have both.
The lock is not the least bit obtrusive in fact it actually gives me a better grip. It fits between the first and second finger almost unnoticed yet works to keep the hand from slipping either forward or backward much like a small finger guard. It also makes a fairly narrow knife just the right amount wider to be slightly more comfortable in hand. And of course it is safer in use. I am most happy with the liner lock on the 73's. Hope this helps.

Looks real good Crowemag !!!!! The pull on my 73 is not heavy , maybe 7 or 8 . I too seem to have to have the 73 in my pocket whenever I am home and most of the time anywhere else . It just makes me feel all there and feels real good just to know that I have some pretty decent Stag in my pocket.

Harry, your taste in knives and your photography are both excellent. Mind if I ask why two stag?

Thanks OE! After I read my post I pulled the 73 out of my front left and opened her up. Made me realize I may have been a little too harsh on the pull. Not as strong as it was when brand spankin'. As much as I love the stag I would probably be open to trading for an Osage Orange Wood model if someone was into that. Those just look so perfect after being carried for a while.

Thanks James and I do not mind you asking at all . Actually I have another Stag with the Clip blade on reserve at Collector Knives. The reason is : I like Stag very much and some of my Grandsons also like my Stag. Nancy and I do our grandkids pretty well at Christmas . I will be keeping 1 of these 83's and the other 2 go at Christmas as well as another Stag 73. It is in our budget.

That is a trade that I could not even consider , but differant strokes for differant folks. Good luck on your look for the Osage Orange.

Harry, it's gonna be a nice Christmas for your family this year.:thumbup: Thanks for sharing this info with me.
My grandson is still too young for knife gifts but I did buy a couple pocket knives from his birth year which he'll receive at the appropriate time.
Two of my granddaughters got BB guns and Victorinox Classics last Christmas from their Dad.

In the spirit of keeping the knife content high;;)

Osage Orange 73 (think it should be called Osage Yellow?)

This #72 was my first GEC and because of it my bank balance has struggled ever since as I buy more and more of them.

Arrived yesterday and has been in my pocket ever since. I've wanted a Yellow Rose since the first time I laid eyes on one.
