Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

Here are some more so I can show off some of the awesome makers I've met here!

My Blasted Hill "rain" addiction got a little out of hand.
Top is AEBL and kingwood (Iirc)
The middle one is one of my work knives in rotation. 1084 and walnut. The bottom one is AEBL and finished myself in Black Locust.

This is a morakniv that came with a pile of knives I wanted to try and it's quite a tool! It's sharp and sturdy. The plastic sheath was off putting at first but it's actually kinda neat. Just adds to the utilitarian nature of this thing.

I have under-appreciated this Gerber some.

That flat belly loses to the Western 49 in a grape-vine whacking contest, and the thick spine lacks the distal taper of the Atahualpa pictured with it, but still the balance point is right at the plunge, and the flat grind cuts deeper easier than a saber grind would.

Just sitting here drinking coffee with my window opening on this cool morning just put me in the mood to look at some fixed blades. It’s been a couple of years since being in the woods but I like these picture. Brings back some good memories with the kids.5C9569B3-C1CD-400E-9E8D-235B6F148DBC.jpegEEA68B63-D3B2-475D-89DF-8FE781DB6179.jpeg10B4577F-C1F3-4ED1-BD8C-81FE26F032A1.jpeg

Every now and then, I'm watching Les Stroud or something, and I think, "If only I could find a five-inch stainless blade that's not too thick and not too wide, with a modest clip point, that would be perfect..."
Duh, like this?

It's a Camillus Western Mark I Navy. I know I have a Camillus Camillus in the more common saber grind, in its original sheath, and another stamped USN, with no sheath, that I haven't sawn the huge disc pommel off of.
Maybe the one in the sheath is in the obvious place; I haven't looked there yet.

And speaking of original sheath, there's nothing wrong with this genuine buffalo hide one except a bit of stitching needs replacing. But there's no room in it for a liner to keep the steel off the leather.
Maybe WWII vintage, with the left side sheath assuming a right side pistol?

I know where three of these are, two with the pinned-through-the sides pommel, and one with the mysterious pop-rivet.

I wish China Schrade would bring back the H-15 in stainless.
