Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

I have to give kudos to Case when they do it right. This large Stockman is better than any GEC I have owned. Tight blades and great action.

knarfeng knarfeng and Peregrin Peregrin , please consider merging the two Case threads. It is so inconvenient having two identical threads. The titles might suggest some slight difference, but we Case fans use them the same. And we would not have to post twice to get our message to most Case collectors.

Gary and I have discussed this in the past. We felt there is enough difference between the two threads to justify keeping them separate.
I note that there are currently 5 threads on the first page devoted to various offerings from GEC. I don't think two threads devoted to Case knives is excessive.,

edited to add:
On the technical side, I'm reticent to merge two threads if both have existed for a spell. When the software merges two threads, it sorts all the posts by time stamp. So any conversations which have occurred within a thread will get interspersed with non-sequitur posts from the other thread. IMO it takes away from the threads.

I only have two Case knives. A smooth white synthetic trapper from the Ohio Gun Collectors ( check out the shield) and a Red jigged bone Trapper my Daughter gave me.

I have one more ( I actually gave it to my daughter ) but I don't have photos. It is a very nice older case stockman that was my great uncles, My dad got it when Uncle Bus passed and after Dad left us I got it and passed it on to my Daughter.

I have never been enamored by Case ( 1970 and later ) as a using knife. The older ones were pretty good and made their reputation but it seems now that , with a few exceptions, they make knives for collectors not users.
