GEC did a 100-knife SFO single-blade 54 in crosscut mammoth tusk covers for this large dealer's third annual Christmas special event. The dealer owner supplied GEC with stabilized material for the covers. They were released with advanced warning about the time of release yesterday at 11 a.m. Central but without announcing the maker, model, or materials of the knife until they went live for sale.whats the story on these? they had a specific run? or after factory
Is this knife an SFO? I didn't hear anything about it.
That would make sense, since they had three cover variations for that SFO that didn't include mammoth, but it was the same pattern. For some reason the symmetry and simplicity of the equal end pattern with a single blade just really speaks to me.Seems it was part of their SFO from earlier this year, but kept top secret. Not even people that follow the seller very closely knew what was dropping until drop time.

Sellout was about two minutes.
It's stabilized crosscut mammoth tusk, I asked Jason Thoune about it myself, and he provided GEC with the material, so he would know. When you Google that knife, they just refer to it as mammoth, but looking at the curvature I'm leaning towards tusk or sabortooth tiger.non the less it is cool configuration.
I'm the guy Jason's responding to there.
oh nice. Want me to delete the photo because it has your name?I'm the guy Jason's responding to there.![]()
No it's no big deal loloh nice. Want me to delete the photo because it has your name?
Good to know fellow porch members are in the insiders group. No it's no big deal lol
Too many knives, too little money this season for sure!I would be bummed missing on this drop of mammoth 54 if I hadn't received so many great knives in the last little while.
Yeah, I believe they're talking about the Facebook Insiders group for an online retailer whose name rhymes with the abbreviation for a "Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato."what is the other site yall are mentioning, Facebook?
