Lets talk GEC!

Merry Christmas friends!

I've been carrying and using my ebony 811224 more than my other GECs lately. I've really taken to it's slim, smooth, simplicity and fabulous good looks. The serpentine shield suits the frame perfectly and keeps the lines very tidy.

I thinned down the edge bevel on the clip blade yesterday and it's just getting better with use and time.

I'm still eager for a Ram and a Lamb if I can get them.

Has anyone heard anything more about the possible 38's?

My dealer told me that he thought that was just a short run for employees etc.

I think the only real answer is time will tell. The mystery and mystique of GEC is part of their brilliant marketing.

It would be nice if Bill surprises us with a run of Farmer Jacks or Grinling Whittlers!

Couldn't agree more! I hope Bill does surprise us.

The 81 is a great knife! I have the waynorth city stock version and it has been my daily carry for a month now. I especially like that they used the cam tang on them, such a smooth action. And the empire shield Charlie picked is a new favorite of mine for larger knives.

Do you have any issues with blade rub on yours? Mine has some minor rubbing, but nothing drastic.

I have to agree that the 81 is fantastic. I love the2 blade configuration. I managed to snag 3 from this run. The Waynorth, violet bone and the ebony. None of those have blade rub. My stag 32 does have significant blade rub, but not my coco 32. My 34 BF23 knife has very slight rub.

That's good to hear. I got the notification today about the #93 drop @ ___ , and while I didn't have much interest in the #93, I noticed they snuck a few other models in there as well, if you clicked the general 'GEC' page. And lo and behold, there it was, the exact Gunstock of my dreams - a UNXLD #22 Magnum, bullet shield, wharnie with a long pull, in autumn bone. I didn't hesitate.

The #22s are nice, gem-like knives, attractively finished!! I like them, but my tastes go more for larger, somewhat rougher knives, like these Uber Wabi Sabi #86 Jacks!!
