If I was a betting man, which I'm not, my money is on canvas - All the linen I've seen is composed of very fine threading- that appears to be quite coarse eh?

Canvas.
NICE knife by the way. Badger attack 111/ BA3?
Linen micarta was used at times in the past on Busse knives, especially green, some black, some tigerhide (not all, some of it was canvas), and a very limited brown/black; there might have been some other limited versions of linen micarta, but not that I remember.Canvas would be my guess. I wish that Busse offered linen micarta handles.
