Slightly heavier and longer in the haft than some Viking battle axes but Loki could handle it, he was a god after all.
I made this by wrapping mild steel over a high carbon bit, forge welding them together and hammering to shape. Heat treating was done with 5 cycles to bring the bit to approximately 58 Rockwell. The haft is made from white ash and is 21 inches long. The head measures 6 1/2 inches long with a cutting edge of 4 inches. It weighs 2 pounds. It will ship with a simple tie down leather cover.
