Loose Ontario handle

I've got an Ontario d-guard 22" machete. The plastic handle is getting loose on it. Can I tighten the 3 rivets somehow, or does it need a new handle? I thought it was the type you could tighten with a hammer, but no such luck it seems.(or I'm not persuading it enough)

On some machete rivets, I've had luck using an appropriately sized socket from a wrench set that fits the rivet and tapping with a hammer. I've only used this method on wood handeled machetes.

Pop those rivets off, re-install handle with high impact epoxy and stainless steel rods instead of those cheap rivets. Cost a couple of bucks and lasts forever.
