Hello

I would have some tips if some of you are advanced with knifes
Someone offered me a knife
It's my first and I really don't know about knife
That's why I ask , I don't want to do mistakes who can damage the blade or others.
The problem with this knife is , it's not cut anything, even a paper , the blade have a lot of difficuties to cut it.

I post some pictures of the blade , if you can tell me what to buy to make it more sharpener I would like it :) thanks

Honestly, stick it in the drawer and buy something decent. That knife is unfortunately not worth the cost of sharpening or a sharpening kit.

Welcome. It's true that it isn't a great knife.

Though it IS a great knife to learn how to sharpen on.

An inexpensive sharpener is the unglazed ring on the bottom of a ceramic mug. Honest. It works.

As for "How to Sharpen" there is a Maintenance, Tinkering, and Embellishment subforum here full of tips and techniques.

now that's quite an impressive if not
an outright intimidating and equally
a highly dramatic looking persuasive tool
to get gain anyone's attention with!
anything can be sharpened, even
a butter knife can be made shaving sharp.
but the real question is
just how sharp would one have
in order that an edge be labled
sharp enough?
for shaving hairs? slicing tomatoes?
cutting silk scarfs? or slicing row
upon rows of mineral water
bottles in half?
yes it can be done! but edge holding
is mostly rooted in steel quality and
a number of technical aspects normally
undertaken for specific knife cutting functions determined by the manufacturer.
anyways, its almost necessary to get
a diamond sharper in a medium and fine grids.
you first need to determine a suitable angle for the blade's optimum usage; as too steep an angle might probably see your blade's edge develop frequent indentations.
