Membership privileges stack, so if it’s allowed for a Basic member it’s automatically allowed for a Gold member, and so on. It’s always an increase in privileges the higher you go.

I do not want to sell my knives here or have a knifemaker membership but I could not find info on trading them.

Based on this note found in the Exhange rules...

*The only members who may promote or display their personally built knives, their products, or services in the discussion threads, signature, home page listing or their user profile are "Manufacturers", "Dealers", and "Knifemaker/Craftsman/Service Provider".*

...if you don’t have a knifemaker membership you can’t sell or promote your own creations, I think posting one of your own knives for trade falls under the same restrictions.
