Micarta Monday - Traditional Knives Only, Please

This Rough Ryder Blue Mule canoe is a birthday gift from my wife a couple of weeks ago. It's probably illegal in this thread, since the vendor says the covers are blue G-10. But I'm neither sophisticated enough nor perceptive enough to tell the difference between G-10 and micarta.

I once posted a G10 knife here and was met with unspoken disapproval even though I explained that it was synthetic micarta :D

I don’t believe there is a cardinal rule against G10 being posted. I think fiber glass would be considered a material that fits in the following statement “and beyond” “they're all welcome here!” Which the authors first paragraph reads. If so I’ve already broken the rule too. Which I didn’t even recognize when I posted a rose craft knife. Show em BFs…

Thanks for the story, Mike. Unspoken disapproval is the worst - it cuts like a knife! (I guess that's what you'd expect here. ;) )

(I really just wanted to post my new "Honolulu blue" knife to celebrate the Lions' big win Sunday night!🤓
I know: not micarta and not Honolulu Blue, but close enough for me.)

The Lions looked good last night. They were so disappointing for so long - it was something in life you could count on - I'm still having trouble adjusting to the fact that they really are good 😲

Mike, coming from St. Louis I used to say there were only two things I could count on in life, the love of Jesus and the failure of the Blues. But then they won the Cup, finally! So don't give up on the Lions, it could be their year! I hope so.
