They look kind of heavy might be good for chopping but that might not be so good in some situations ; anyone know the weight of these knives?
"Kind of heavy" pretty well covers it. Mine are from their early days when they used 5/16" 5160, exclusively. They've moved on to newer steels; but, the last time I looked, their stuff was still all at least ¼" thick.

My M-8 Compact weighs 510g with 8.8 mm blade thickness.
It's an absolute beast.

I never weighed (or used) my full size M-8. It's too big for me.
 
I thought you were talking about Miller Brothers traditional vintage pocket knives.(:

That M8 in ZTuff at 5/16"s would be a great test for JoeX to try to break. Great looking knives folks.
