Mini pry tools?

The thing I actually really like about the Vaughan is the end. Better fulcrum, and you can hammer on it to get under tight brads and the like.

I carry a Gerber Shard at work and love it! I work with sheet metal and I use it a lot to separate sheets, loosen/tighten screws, and occasionally I actually pry with the little bugger:) I did modify the tips to be a little bit thinner for screwdriver use. The $5 spent on it was well worth it :D I would love to someday get an Atwood or two but till then the Gerber will serve.

pocket bushman in back left pocket, ( I a lefty) red sak farmer in front right along with fenix e01 and a windmill classic lighter and keys. the altoids tin/with prybay and change in the front left. The altoids tin is mainly fak with fire starter and a heat sheet space blanket in the back right covered the plastic bag the space blanket comes in with duct tape.

I had an Ecko can/bottle opener that was about 3.5 inches long, cut off the pointed can piercing end and rounded it off. Drilled a hole in the end.
Got the idea on this forum years ago.

I've been watching this thread and checking out some online. I like he titanium ones. But nothing has grabbed my attention thus far. The stiletto ones seem to strange. Why can't they just copy popular models of pry tools and make them with titanium? (It's a rhetorical question). Instead of adding a bunch of crap I don't want.

I have on order a Southard Mini Rhinopry I will tell you how it works when it gets here. Q

Well....at least some of the folks listed have titanium versions (I know Peter Atwood does). Not sure what you mean by "bunch of crap"; but if you are looking for just a titanium mini pry-bar, check out Unique Titanium...they have a simple titanium prybar that's along the lines of the County Comm widgy bar - just a pry bar. It's 3.9 inches long. That might be what you're looking for?

This is an Atwood copy. IMO this is unaceptable, Peter has been working for years on his designs and someone out of nowhere just copy his designs WTF.

I found the tiny ones not really 'up to the job', so I carry one of the CRKT tools by Raleigh Tabor in my Maxpedition bag.

I got a Ti bar made by STR in a trade...not sure I would like it, but now I carry it every day.

Atwood's are nice, but seem quite pricey for what you get IMO... I don't like the way he sells them through the blog with no discrimination on repeat customers either, you have to have your finger on the button constantly and even then have little chance, then they show up on the secondary market at an even higher price, I gave up after trying for a year :(

PockeTTools have some nice ones very reasonably priced and actually available for sale, I use a shrade one from knifecenter, cost about 20 bucks and does everything an Atwood does except inflate your ego. Countycomm widgy and pry bars worth a look too.

I'm more of a function than form guy, so the $5 Shard does me fine and it does the dirty work well. Farmer and his motley pocket crew :)

Won this in a random giveaway a while back. Probably gets used more as a bottle opener than prybar though. :p

I like it, and I wish it was $5...the steel ones are about that, but the Ti ones are almost $30.
After using my STR prybar, I am seriously considering selling it and using $5 for a steel CountyComm bar and pocketing the rest (or most likely using it towards getting other toys).

The only reason that I haven't looked into the pry bars is that if I were to be searched and they found something that looked like a tool to break into things, it could be confiscated or worse. I like the idea of them though.
