I have a sword that's polished high carbon that I decided to try and remove some staining with a scotch-brite pad on an area about 5" long and 1" wide. It's very minor but it bothers me. Could someone help me polish the scratches out please? It was recommended I do it myself, but by the time I buy all the stuff and mess up a bunch of times in the learning process I could pay someone to do it for me. Anyone game?

Before shipping a sword around the country I would try a local plating service or high end auto body service as they have the equipment to do surface prep on metal parts.
