Modify Victornox Electrician shell for engraving?

I'm a newbie here, so please forgive any ignorance I may display..

My dad is retiring and essentially specifically requested the Victorinox Electrician as a gift. I saw that the Electrician Plus has a little area for engraving, but only enough to get initials in there. I was hoping for a little more space. Do you guys have any suggestions?

-Grind down the rough surface for more room?
-Replace the shell with with same size smooth shell? (don't know if such a thing exists)
-Get a very similar knife with more engraving potential? (suggestions)
-Something else?

Engrave the large blade. Have a pro do it. Copperplate Gothic is an appropriate font.

Keep it small and simple. You don't want it looking like this:
