Multi Tool or Swiss Army Knife

I carry a Tinker for eveyday use, and a Fieldmaster for playing out in the woods. You can buy a leather lanyard from Victorinox; they're 15" long and one end has a belt loop, while the other end has a clip (like you see on a dog leash). I find this to be very handy when in the woods or over water and you don't want to lose your knife.

My Swiss Champ has replaced my Leathermans. It has pretty much everything a Leatherman would have, plus some added useful features, like a magnifying glass, and pen. I wear it on my belt. The pliers are small, but so far they've proven useful.

Both for me.

For a long while I carried a Micra on the keychain and a Vic Soldier in the pocket along with my keys.

Now I have a Vic Classic on the keys, mainly to reduce noise while I'm driving and to provide scissors, and keep a LM Squirt in my pocket.

I have an SOG Powerlock S61, a Victorinox Tinker, and a Vic Classic. In my opinion the Tinker + Classic combo is perfect EDC. Meanwhile the Powerlock sits in my desk gathering dust.

Both: I have a small SAK and a Leatherman Wave on my person, the I also have a SAK Cybertool in my bag.

I typically use the SAK's scissors for very fine work. The SAK's blade is my X-acto replacement. The Leatherman mostly gets used for the philips driver, large blade and pliers.

i think multitool implements are just a bit more effective, simply because of their size.but i also carry both.

Most of my associates and myself have gone to Multis , mostly leatherman tools ( waves an charges ) . The selling feature - one handable blades , an pliers .
