Hello, all!

My name is Anton.

I want to show my Laredo Bowie with new handle.

Its standard handle is cracked (as far as I know, it happens sometimes with this knife)
So I decided to make it a new handle.
I asked one good master, who agreed to take the job.
The result was a new handle of classical form of black hornbeam wood with brass inserts.

Also standard sheath were painted black. And the was made suspension on the belt.
I am satisfied with the new handle. I will be happy to hear your opinion)

Welcome Anton!

I've always like the looks of the big Cold Steele Bowie's. You seem to have a fine collection there!!

Anton,
Very nice collection and that Laredo Bowie is truly a beauty. The brass guard, bolster and insert
adds a look that I haven't seen before on a CS knife.
I do have one question if you have an answer. I was told that in Russia there are laws prohibiting the
presence of a guard on knives larger that a certain size, and received that explanation with respect to
photos of readily identifiable models with their guards removed. But clearly your collection is comprised
of large knives with their guards. Are you familiar with this story?
Thanks
Ken

Very nice, Anton!! Always good to see someone who appreciates the Bowie. Welcome here

Ken, hello!
Thank you for your review and your question.

In Russia there is a license for a hunting weapon that allows you to purchase knives with guard (if a knife with a blade has a sufficient thickness).
Without this license, the acquisition of such knives not allowed.

Looks great and nice collection. What steel is the Recon Scout?

Fantastic job Anton. The new handle has a very classic look, and I like it a lot.
