My First Attempt at a Tanto

This is my very first proper tanto. It's hand forged from .200" 1084fg high carbon steel with an epoxy resin soaked paracord wrap handle, brown micarta base, forged copper guard, and copper hardware. 10 1/2" blade and a 5" handle.

Excellent job! If you would have told me you had been making tanto’s since you were in diapers you would have easily fooled me.

Well, I’ve been making knives since I was 17, but this was just my first attempt at a true Tanto with a full tang and guard. It’s not very historical, but I wanted to make it my own a bit.
