My first Khukuri (stag handle.)

Big one. Handmade by Thai maker.
OAL 18" approx. 440-C. With big and very comfy stag handle.
The scabbard is Thai hardwood called Ching-Chan.

Looks great! I love that handle. Hmmmm, I have to add Thailand on the list of "have to visit" places since you got such fine makers there.
 
I got called away several days ago, just when was about to post on this thread.

That's a very nice looking khukuri! A great polish on the blade, and hte handle/guard work is great. I bit shorter handle than I'd like, particularly for such a heavy knife.

Sorry to be so ignorant, but what is that round thing that appears in most of the pics? A piece of the horn base? Is it for something?

Do the makers of khukuri in Thailand not also supply the chakma and karda?
