I just bought a 2x72 grinder and this is the first one I did on it. It has a 6 inch blade 1/4 thick with distal taper of 5160. The handle is maple. I still have to make a sheath for it. What do you guys think?

Great looking knife. Nice arc to it. I envy your grinder. I wish I had a 2 x 72. Sometime in the future maybe.

Thanks for the nice comments. The new grinder makes knifemaking go so much faster. I still have to get used to it some more. I still keep going back to my 4x36 to clean things up to get the grinds perfect. To do the heavy removal of steel, it is great. I just finished a bowie that is 1/4" thick and 2" wide. It took about 30 min to do the basic grind and probably would have been faster if I was more used to it. It would have taken a whole day and several belts on the 4x36.
