I've never had one apart, but I've seen photos of one apart and the lockbar uses a stepped pin that doesn't help hold the handle together. The center part is fatter, and the ends are just a slip fit in the scales, so you can fully disassemble the knife if you so desire. Do be aware that Spyderco's position is that they use screw construction to facilitate factory assembly and not for user serviceability, and that disassembly voids your warranty.
