Beautiful knife...where does one find sperm whale teeth, other than in the mouth of a sperm whale?

In this area we have a number of ivory dealers. In the 1800's New Bedford MA. was the whaling capital of the world and we still are the biggest fishing port on the east coast. It's nickname is still the Whaling City. They sell the teeth buy the pound this one was $156.

Nice looking knife, meaty looking blade to go along with the meaty looking
tooth!!

I like it a lot. $156.00 for a sperm whale tooth; I had no idea they cost that much.
The dealer gets $220 a pound for ivory. The tooth IMHO is the best ivory to work with and the feel of it. :D
