NE Beckerheads at Radeke Cabin in the White Mountain National Forest

I'd drive all the way up just to hang out there. Awesome!

Trailbum was in his T.M. Hunt shirt all weekend (well, the portion at the cabin, anyway). Maybe you should figure out how to represent when the October gathering rolls around. I'm sure we can find you a spot....

We're sorry. We really are. Wish you coulda been there.....maybe we'll get it for a whole weekend next time to make the drive worthwhile for you. Your name did come up in conversation, especially with regards to my favorite Becker, the 12 - which I would never have had a chance to handle were it not for yours! Looking forward to seeing you in the fall and checking out some of your leatherwork.

It's ok, I couldn't have made it anyhow. I'm up to my ears in work right now, my company just snuck in a $560mm acquisition which I now have to design a whole IT infrastructure for, lol.. Job security

I'll definitely be up in the fall though!

I think I just heard about that on NPR - your company just bought Birdseye (among other stuff), right?

Wow, what a great trip! Incredible setting good food and good friends. Can't ask for much more.

I know that area well. Good friends in good country is nearly all that matters. Cheers, and thanks for the post!

Looks like an awesome time. One of these days I'll make it to a Beckerhead Northeast gathering. I'll bring some mead for sure.

I wanted to check it out before having a gathering there. Spring maybe if we can get it.

No you can't. How far would it be for you.
Hey no fair having fun without me! :)

Looks like an awesome trip guys, Becker is getting so big!

I figured a little far for one night, but you were thought of.

Come on up. Bring beer.

What a great weekend! I can't even explain how good it feels to get away and hang out with friends around the campfire. This was a much needed getaway for Amanda and I.

I didn't take a lot of pictures. Looking back there are some things I wish I took pictures of. Some of Granite's folders were awesome. His Bark River Bravo 1 is a knife I didn't even know I had to have. His modded BK-11 with those awesome Zebrawood scales was really well done and performed well.

The food, even though we didn't go overboard still tasted great. I think mostly because it was cooked outside.

Watching a Brand new Brute and Patrol Machete get broken in was fun. Glad to see them get some use.

Finding out that trailbum likes girl coffee and why Granite likes his NF cat's meow sleeping bag was interesting.

Anyways, on to the pictures.

The next morning we tested out some choppers. The Baryonyx Machete and a Patrol Machete.

Then on to the Becker Patrol Machete. Mike did the honors breaking in Jason's newest Becker.

After breakfast we decided to work off some calories and walk down the trail behind the cabin to the river.

After we got back trailbum tested out his new saw. I think he approves.

Funny you should say that.....'cause Amanda went swimming. . . .to help Becker get to shore when he was unable to swim against the current. She said the water was, ah...brisk. Or something to that effect. There were still mounds and pockets of snow, mind you.

And thanks for bringing this almost year old thread back from the hinterlands.

Lucky bastards, wish I wasn't so geographically isolated, love to have a beer or two with you boys.
