I met the mail lady out at the street to get my new BK2. What a beast. I didn't realize how thick a 1/4" was until I opened it up. I can see why it is referred to as a train wrecker.

I got it for camping and other outdoor activities, looks like it will serve me well.

Oh, And thanks Tom at Chestnut Ridge for the quick shipping and great prices.:thumbup:

First thing I did when I opened it was beat a log into submission, since this is the first quality fixed blade I had. I was in scouts when I was younger, but we couldn't really have fixed blades.

I went fishing today and they weren't biting so I went for a short hike, found a downed tree and had a seat and made a hiking stick. The Becker did the chopping and heavier work, however the finer work went to my kershaw avalanche that has been my EDC for a few years now.

Congrats and thanks for the report on Chestnut Ridge -- I've been eying some Beckers and Rangers on that site.

Another good knife for finer work is the BK-11.
