The Buck 834 knife looks very similar to the Remington R10002 that Buck made from 2017-2020. They were both made in China. There is a grind on the Buck, but you cannot see it in the photo. The sheaths look the same also.

Be aware that the axe is only 0.146" thick. That piece on the butt makes it wider, but the main part of the head is pretty thin.

I was thinking more in the context of my collection of Buck Axes.
For actual use I prefer and use the Compadre Froe.

I'm pretty sure it was a bit less at my costco. Maybe $50 or $60? I snapped a photo because I was surprised to see Buck Knives there, but didn't think to get a shot of the price.

$50 isn't horrible.

$100 though you could get a American made Estwing, cheap folding saw like that buck and a nicer buck knife lol

I like the idear not so much the prices shared here for it. prefer better steel than 3cr13 in the blade, and 65mn in the saw. I've had bad luck with chinese made 65mn, so far.....but if treated right should be good enough.

course America made set I'd prefer by a lot.....

seems it's a Costco exclusive on a quick search. 70 bucks plus tax where I am. at 40 or 50 I'd be interested in the set for the hatchet and folder saw part. at 70, no thanks.

I can buy an estwing hatchet and cold steel Taiwan made knife for bout same price and if I hunt enough an equal chinese made folding saw for a few dollars more than 70 total. I'd get better tools, better steels and a better deal. Costco is out in stupid land on this price point here.....

yep. few of us have it. Great set of USA made tools and great price point. was a Sam's club exclusive.
