Though Kizer is silent about this, they introduced a new generation of the KI403. It is the Kizer Ki403A1 V3 (green) or the KI403A2 V3 (black version)
I am pretty excited about this one!
So, what are the differences?
- tip up or tip down carry for the pocketclip; with insert for the hole you don't use
- steel insert on the lockbar which also acts as overtravelstop, so the old overtravelstop dissapeared
I think they made a great knife even greater, only info I could find is this: https://www.mesenzo.com/Kizer-V3-Ki403A2
Any downsides? Yes!
- use of the old pocketclip which can cause hot-spots in your hand
- use of the old proprietary pivot screw
But as we all know, you can use a sanded screwdriver for the pivot and the pochetclip can be straightened more or sanded with little effort
