This isn't a review there are quite a few out there on the Cryo. But since this is pretty new I thought I'd throw up some pics. I have one of the titanium coated Cryos and it's a great little knife. Got a couple for my sons and they carry them everyday, so I figured they would love the new version.

This definitely has more grip, although I don't mind the titanium coated ones at all. I picked up three, 2 were perfect and one was quite a bit off center so it needed adjusting. I really love the look of this "Mini Hinderer"...

Great pictures. I really like the knife. I might look into getting one. You said there is one with all titanium handles?? I'm going to have to look.
 
Nice pics of the Cryo G-10. I really like the coarse stonewash on both the blade and the locking scale.

It's not a titanium handle. The original Cryo (and Cryo 2) have stainless steel handles with a titanium carbo-nitride coating on both the handles and blade.
 
I already made the Cryo 1 versus 2 mistake once. The Cryo is a wife-sized knife (in my worldview), so when they make a Cryo II version with the G10, I'll have to own one.

Agreed! I had one for a few days and had to let it go. But I swear the stonewash on that Cryo was almost just as nice as the stonewash on the 0566!

I can't wait for a G10 Cryo II with that Hellfire tanto blade! Now that'll look slick! Anyways, here are a couple of shots of the one I had. Excellent knife, couldn't find much wrong with it at all.




In the right light it almost has a grinder satin :thumbup:

 
Both Kershawguy and BladeHQ have them, and they're both supporting dealers.

Kershawguy doesn't have them up on his site yet, but he has them listed in the for sale by dealer section for $35 shipped. BladeHQ has them for $36.95 + shipping (free shipping if your order total is over $99).

Me too, I have a Cryo 1 and never carry it, just too small and slippery. When they make a G10 Cryo 2 I will certainly buy one.
 
Looking forward to picking one of these up. I've got the original TI coated Cryo which is great as a small but strong pocket folder for those days when I don't want to, or can't carry my 566. I almost bought an aftermarket G10 scale for about $40 but am glad I waited for this one, now I can have a whole new knife for roughly what the scale alone would have cost.

Quite a few places have them including kershawguy who doesn't have them listed on his site yet, just email him and he offers free shipping.
 
That looks good! I've always questioned the slipperiness of the Cryo, but I think I like the size. I just hope to get one in my hand so I can know for sure.
 
Grownstar. Did you get rid of it because you didn't like it? I just ordered one and I don't normally buy china made blades. Don't scare bro lol.

What's good, Nic? I didn't mean to scare you haha! It was a great knife. My Chinese Kershaws have never given me trouble.

The only reason I got rid of it was because I needed to make a few bucks. Had some unexpected bills come up that needed to be covered. So daddy's toys are always the first to go in situations like those.

But I thought the quality of the knife was awesome and I plan to pick another one up when I can.

Hey Nic, as Grownstar said, you've got nothing to worry about with the Cryo. Mine has been nothing but good to me. Solid lockup, steel takes a really good edge really easily too. It's a great lower-end/beater knife.

Nic, hey brother, if I may, allow me to chime in with Grownstar. Like him, I have had zero issues with any of my multiple Chinese-sourced Kershaws. In fact, I'll freely admit that for the most part I'm one of those anti-Chinese knife people. However, I gave the Cryo 1 and 2 a chance, and was blown away at the quality they had, for so little money. So, the idea of a Cryo II with a G10 scale is VERY attractive, and I'll have to own one.

Yeah I took out my Cryo II the other day to carry and I was thinking it would be cool if this came out in G10...;)

Grownstar. I can relate with you on the bills. Being a grown up sucks lol, but as long as momma and the lite ones are happy we did our job! I am actually getting this because I really want a 566 and don't have the dough right now so I figured it kinda looks like it's little bro and would hold me over till then. To everyone else thanks for the input, I'll let you know how I feel when it shows up!

All good, brother! And it definitely reminds me of the 0566 :thumbup:

My advice would be to keep your eyes on the exchange. You'll find great deals on the 0566. Wait till the 0562 and 0620 are released, people will be dying to get rid of their 0550s, 0560s and 0566s :D

I can't tell you how many 0801s popped up this past month thanks to the release of the 0801CF!
 
slg98, I've got to ask, what kind of phone do you have? Those pics look pretty darn good to me! I've got both a Cryo I and Cryo II and I definitely prefer the larger II. Tough solid knife, and a great pricepoint.
