New Predators film knife content spotted.

I was watching a trailer to the new "PREDATORS" movie and spotted a handle sticking out of Adrian Brody's armor.

A TOP'S something-r other maybe?I can't really tell.
 
The placement of the sheath is bizarre though... Makes no sense, very difficult to draw and when you manage to get the blade out it practically sweeps your neck and face.
 
I hope they use the knives for more than just slicing their chest or cutting vines like in the first one!
 
Im gonna watch it, but judging from the trailer it dosent look as great as the first Predator with Arnold and the other badass actors. That movie is a classic!
 
Oleg Taktarov as mini gun operator? Oleg was an early (as in Royce Gracie years) UFC fighter but i've seen him in movies lately as a thug. This one can never top the original; Arnold, Weathers, Ventura...Brody aint no action star.
 
this movie looks like crap...brodie could never be an action star, fishburn never developed into an actor, however...

if alice braga does some nude scenes, it will all be worth it...for some reason, i find her devestating...I mean, I know she is pretty, but for some reason I find her exceptional.

I just read about it on wikipedia and see the plot (braga as a military sniper? really?) and that its also done by rodriguez...he had no business calling his third movie in the mariachi series once upon a time in mexico to imply it was a trilogy in the same league as the man with no name series, and sin city was ridiculously bad...so i don't know if some nude scenes of braga could make up for this...that and he doesn't seem to get his actresses nude, i have no problems with that, but it just means this film will have almost no chance for a redeeming quality...

As for the placement of the sheath, yea, that is dumb. He could have put it handle down and then it would be easy to draw. I can't believe the actor or one of the "technical advisors" didn't say something about that.

I disagree. I loved Once Upon A Time in Mexico and Sin City is one of my favorite movies of all time. I am optimistic about Predator 3 solely because of Rodriguez.

Remember how bad AvP 1 & 2 were? At the very least, it can't get worse than than.
 
Yeap, it looks like the TOPS Dan mentioned.
The movie though, based on the trailer... will suck. No doubt.
No wonder, action movies slowly died in the 90's.

I never saw AVP 1&2. But I will take your word for it.

As for Rodriguez's other films, I really don't care for super over the top stuff (and yes the Leone films had their characters making impossible shots, etc, but things like the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly were more about the characters and the story...His best work was Once Upon a Time in America, and that was just increadible).

I'd have to agree. Can't think of a good reason for that placement for either right or left hand.

But then, the point really is does it LOOK cool! :D
