New Recurve Camp Knife

I put this cool Recurve together this weekend. I used my pet 1/4in 5160 and black canvas Micarta for the scales. It’s 13 7/8in overall with an 8 3/4in blade tip to handle. The 17oz weight won’t pulls your pants down either When I first made it, the blade edge came back further towards the handle but I didn’t like the look. I added the choil and love it!!!! It really lets you better balance the blade when you choke up for finer carving. Also it acts as a sharpening cut out.
