New Slim midi is tiiiighht

Got a brand new slim midi from dlt last week. Never handled one before. Seen videos of the knife and it look see easy enough to open has a great thin edge and good ergos. Now I understand the knife was put together tight purposely. How tight is tight. Since this is my first one i still have to put a good bit of pressure on it. That good luck flicking it open. It don’t drop shut. I called Medford. I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this insane amount of force to open and close this thing
 
Give it some time to break in, however Medfords are generally not going for Drop shut, once broken in they are more in the hydraulic smooth realm, similar to what Chris Reeve goes for.
 
None of my Medfords can be flicked open. Now that they're broken in, all will drop shut when the lock is released, but not the rest of the way once the detent engages. :thumbsup:
