So what you are telling us is you were grinding the blade and you screwed the tip up, so you had to make some adjustments?:D :D :D
 
That is an assumption a newbie might make!!!!!!!
I, however, have been practicing on my grinder for 20 years!!!!!!!!!

If that's the case then why is the blade 1/2" shorter than the handle when it's closed ;)

How sharp would that point be if the top and bottom edges met where it looks like they would? I think that would be a great blade shape.
 
Now what I am wondering is if it will really Pierce Armor (without damage to the knife of course)? ;) Great knife Tom, keep up the good work.
