I tried to e-mail you but the "uky" e-mail bounced. Not that I would be interested in that set
The above was a post to Leatherneck from me.
Resulting e-mail conversations were, summarized, that I asked him what he wanted for the set. I would've paid $150.
He wanted at least $225. That's too many MickeyDee $1 Cheesburgers for me (especially since I only collect 110).
I don't really go outside this Buck forum much, if at all. Think I have a few posts in the Knife Laws gig but that's about it. And, I totally spaced on the "for sale" gig in bladeforums (never go there either, but know you gents have written about it before). And figured he was too new to go
Gold just for that set. And, I didn't want to overtly ask for selling info here and get banned from this tree of monkeys.
Am not defending Leatherneck...each man is responsible for his own initial defense. Just stating that if someone contacted him via mail he was ready to sell...albeit, for a price too rich for "me".
And, if I was being "
Puss
C" about it, I wouldn't be bummed that the set went for what "we" thought was reasonable, and for what I would have paid for on the spot. So, he's stuck with e-bay fee, paygal fee, and not knowing if the foster parent will abuse it. If he'd sold it to me for the price he sold it for anyway, it would have been $150 in his pocket and the set would be spoiled like a scandinavian blonde
in my harem.
I ended up using my milk money for a 124LE.
