Newer Photons

Has anyone yet had the opportunity to assess the Photon "Covert" and Photon III microlights? They do not seem as readily available as the Photon II but have interesting sounding features.

I was thinking of buying a job lot of Photon IIs as gifts until I found websites that mentioned these others (http://www.photonlight.com/index2.html and http://www.nielsenlabs.com/group.cfm?itemno=G-PHOTON3&CFID=1294513&CFTOKEN=8177851).

Check out the price on the Photon II at Bayou Lafourche and stock up. You can always get a superlight later – there will be no end of LED toys now, but the Photon II rocks. This is the one that will get the job done, even if it’s too small for a party light …

I might be tempted to wait the couple of weeks for the Photon III. The more water resistant design is a big plus and the different light intensities may come in handy. The full on birghtness of the Photon II is almost too much when your eyes are dark adapted.
