Well the date is up for the next Trackrock, Sept 25th,26th. The Fiddleback team loves the Trackrock event as you know. However, I'd like to see more of us staying together at the Misty Mountain cabins, which are similarly priced and just down the road. I love hanging out with y'all, and I wish we were all together. So if you're going to the next one, please book there so that more folks have a chance at the cabins on site. We kinda take up a bunch of them.

Great. Thanks Guys. I'm so blessed to be able to hang out with everyone at this event. Thanks for your support. I can't even imagine the # of friends I have made among my customers at Trackrock. Very grateful.

Folks, I'm very excited for the get together that is shaping up at the Misty Mountains cabins at the next trackrock. I'm hoping a lot of y'all come. I've asked about getting together, and the manager tells me there are grills and camp fire rings for us to use.

we're coming down and we may bring my douche bag friend Troy and his son

Please remember to get your reservations at the alternate site mentioned above!!!

DB Troy also speaks highly of you Bob. True camaraderie is so rare. :)
Wish I could join in but won't happen this fall. Sounds like I'm missing out on a great time. :(

I'll wait for the pictchas.

For me it's a chance to hang out with a bunch of good people that talk knives and forging. It's a chance to ask about how you do something, watch others do something and just overall have a good time. Folks from the community tend to bring their younger kids (7-15ish) on Saturday and the older guys help the younger guys forge a knife. Maybe it's just smashing a nail for the younger ones, to something more elaborate for the older ones.

Friday and Saturday? Just to confirm, what day is good for check-in and check-out? In case I can swing this, I don't want to miss a Friday or Sunday of events. Thanks!

Are there any chances of falling in a creek at the Misty Mountains? ;)

You can check in Thurs evening or Friday and out on Sunday Jerry.

I’m checking in Thursday morning and out sunday

I claimed #4 (Nesting Place) from 23-27 Sept (Wed to Sun). I've never been there that long, but FFS, I've got to get out of the house. I suspect the wife and kid will fly down on Friday and ride up with a friend from Atlanta, but I plan to take a week off and drive over from Kansas City.

I think Nesting Place (Bob rented it and I crashed the downstairs couch pullout) was where we all gathered last time for Sat Dinner and it seemed to work well, and I'm game for that again, but is there maybe a way we could put up a tarp on the lawn.... nah, I like air conditioning. For planning purposes, I'll host the Sat dinner @ #4 Nesting Place.

ALL ARE WELCOME!!! ALL!!! We'll coordinate the menu later...

From what I can gather, Thursday is when some arrive. Friday morning "The regulars" set up and begin smashing metal. No kids, lots of learning and mostly knife people talking knives and forges, and how to do a .... " Friday is for the adults.

Then on Saturday, it's all about the kids, the community, and the friendship. If there's time on an anvil, then jump on, but don't kick an 11 year old off his box and anvil to do it. (There will be lots and lots of opportunities, so don't worry, just remember it's for the kids)

Sunday morning is all packing up and I don't think I've ever seen a forge fired up, so it's over relatively early (6:45am-- Some of the old folks are getting //carl// old!)
