I know how popular BM folders are with Fourmites.Has any one evaluated the Nimravus fixed Blades;any feedback would be appreciated.

This knife has been reviewed many times by many people. Here are a few choice threads. The first two are general purpose stuff. The third is an extended review by a regular BF reviewer and the fourth is one of my favorite all time knife reviews writtent by Fred Perrin and Nemo.

Architect,
Thanks for the info guess I didn't dig in the right
direction.

The Nimravus is a nice knife. Mine is in M-2. The only thing I don't like about it is that I wish the handle scales fitted flush with the edges of the tang.

I had a Nimravus and really liked it, save for it's size (a little large for my meager uses). I meant to get the Cub but had never gotten around to it. I plan to, if for no other reason, because it was named by none other than the late James Mattis, who in many respects was (and really still is) Bladeforums.

The BM180 looks good as well. Like the wood and leather sheath.

I have both the Nimravus and the Cub. They are classics in my opinion. I got the bigger blade on a preproduction run and have carried it ever since. Both are ATS-34 and they cut in a very aggressive manner as the testers agree.

They perform better than their size would suggest and carry very easily. Like Fred Perrine I modified mine but not quite as much. I removed the aggressive thumb ramp and beveled the side to match the rest of the tang. I also reprofiled the edge on the bigger Nimravus and removed the black coating on both with a scotch-bright pad. It is an awesome performer as is the Cub.

If your scales do not fit flush, try removing them and scraping them and the tang. Mine fit flush after I removed a bit of foreign matter.

My favorite FBs. Always there when I need them and don't get in the way when I don't.
