I happened to run across a dozen compressed air tanks like the firefighters use today. These are complete with 4500 PSIG valves but no regulators. I wonder if I can paint them and get them filled with o2. Anyone know anything about them?

He!! No. I wouldn't waste good equipment on those Drunk murdering SOB's.

More O2 for the torches.

Gee George, how many forges do you want me to make. I have 8 now.

I fill up about once a week when I'm busy!

The problem locally here, Peter, is that if you carry in a tank, they insist that they have to "recertify" it to fill it at $75 per tank. I don't know if it's their policy or the law, but it sure does help to encourage their "lifetime leasing." How convenient.

A lot of the places here have the same policy Mike and it may be law. I expect I can paint it and get them filled one place or the other though. Shoot...I once got liquid nitrogen in a plastic 5 gallon bucket that I had suspended a coffee can and filled with expanding foam around it.

That's gotta be illegal but all the fellow said was "You fill it". :D

I've already put the fittings on one to use air. I'm goinng to put that on my Jeep.

Don't know about the rest yet. I may see what they do on Ebay!

Already done that Dave. I may even use one for a vertical forge. I hate to waste a tank though!
