Okay, i have no clue on how to oil my blade and my spyderco tenacious is developing dots on the metal. what should i put on it. I also want to know what to use on the pivot washers because i got the entire thing soaking wet.

Will vegetable oil / canola oil work?

When it got soaked with water WD-40 is good as it displaces water.Put some of that on the blade or simple 3-in-1 oil will do.

i didnt think one of those knives could rust unless horribly cared for? and why would you care about a knife of that price point? it would take a lifetime for it to matter.

Clean it with naval jelly and/or something abrasive such as steel wool, and apply mineral oil (such as you'd use on a wooden salad bowl). As with most life's problems, a shot of WD-40 is a fine solution for the pivot. ;)
