I have two of them. The Apache and the Mirage with Warncliff bladeThe Apache is ATS-34 and the mirage is aus-8. The Mirage actually is a little older and nicer finished in my opinion. The anodized coating is deeper and more robust. As well as having dual stainless liners. Both blades are bead blasted or "frosted".I have carried each for over a two month piriod every day all day. Both are a usable size. For me, the warncliff blade on the Mirage proved useful, sharpened up nicely and fit well in the pocket. The Apache is a little thicker and the lengthwize grooves don't grip the pocket as well. Both open smoothly and the locking bar of the liner indexes itself in the middle of the blade instead of over travelling like my junglee. All in all, I told a friend that they couldn't go wrong with this company (the M-16 specifically). They make a GREAT product for the price. I don't think I would put them in a heavy use catagory like Emerson or Microtech (depending on blade style). The Emerson and Microtech cost more and have snob appeal. But when you remove all the bull @#$% the CRKT blades will cut every bit as competently.
The only shortfall is perhaps the blade thickness. They seem to be a bit narrower than benchmade (AFCK) which in turn is narrower than and Microtech (socom)and Emerson (CQC7 which is a brute!).
Most people that see either one comment on there good looks and quality. This is a sport suit crowd, The Emerson on the other hand is for...WAR
