Order of The Black Shamrock

I'm giving it some thought. I've read the whole website and it sounds like my idea of what a man's man should be. The man I've already been trying to be. One question though; does the order ever meet up? Perform charity for local communities? Show a good presence anywhere? If so, I'm in. If not, maybe I should join to start something going.

Alright I joined. Worst case scenario, I blew 45 bucks and got a cool tshirt. Either way it clearly states I have the right to use the coat of arms on my stationary and what not. If I'm not satisfied by what's going on with it, I could always organize my own local chapter. Right? Right.

Oooohhh. .. so Cal. Well that doesn't help me in TN! OH WELL! I'm sure there are others like us

Haha yeah we're a bit far apart but I'm sure you're correct about others wanting to do meetings.

IMO these were American values when I was a child over 60 years ago. A better time in America.

Definitely agree. Wouldn't it be nice to move back in that direction as the norm instead of the minority

There have been meet ups, although I haven't been. There's an official OBS forum in a place that's very green and black. Not sure if I'm allowed to talk about it here. But if meet ups happen, that's where you'd find out.

It also opens up access to items exclusive to OBS members, including the official Emerson OBS Knife, shirts, patches, and more.

And most OBS members aren't willing to sell the OBS knife to non-OBS members, so very few are in the wrong hands. I do know that one member had one stolen out of their car and on the official OBS forum some of the other members pooled their cash and contacted EKI and bought him another. Great group.

A friend of mine is also a member and purchased an OBS knife. It's the most perfectly built Emerson production folder I've handled. The liners still weren't polished, but the rest of the details were executed flawlessly.

I see no difference, but my mind is open to education.

The differences would be the way the swedge is ground, Commanders are not like that and also that handle is not a Commander handle, looks like a Journeyman or Patriot handle to me.

Blade spine is different, and the Commander is a drop point where the OBS Knife is a clip. The handles are different too.
