Howdy all,
I just filled a large flat rate box with osage orange blocks. Sizes range from 3/4" thick blocks up to 2-1/2" X 2-1/2" X 5-1/2" blocks, with some smaller stuff to fill in the cracks. Total package weight is about 23.5 pounds.
Some of the thicker stuff may not be totally dry, so I sealed the ends. You should check it with a moisture meter before using. It's been drying in my shop for 6 or 7 years, so it's not real wet either.
A few pieces have some cracks or voids you'll have to work around, but most of it's pretty solid.
A couple of the smaller blocks were stabilized with Nelsonite.
