I just whipped out the old ruler and measured it myself: 3/8" diameter :D Sorry I didn't do this first, but I figured that model is the most common FireSteel in use, I thought you might have one.
 
Guys, I received my knife this week. Wow, does that Osage over micarta look good in person! This is my first knife with heat treat scales left on (I believe Mark calls it his "primitive" finish), and I have to say that it adds character and looks great. True to 1095 fashion, it sharpened up easily (I put my own edge on knives). I'll post a review once i get a chance to test it at some bushcraft tasks. Here are a few pics:
