I know you all are saying what? But I just got back from a gun and knife show all the ladies want a paring knife for canning season

Victorinox or F. Dick are both great choices. If these ladies are prone towards not taking good care of their knives then Victorinox in particular makes a fully serrated model that comes with an edge cover. It still cuts similarly to a plain-edged paring knife but the points of the serrations protect the interior against bangs and knocks against hard surfaces like glass or metal.
