I’ve messed around a little bit with etching knife blades, using the somewhat conventional process of a battery charger, saltwater, one lead on your blade, one lead on a probe in your hand, dabing the blade.
At about the 6:00 minute mark in the video, the fellow prepares an etch for an axe head. I cannot see enough detail to see how he sets it up
Does the wire that the axe head is hanging from conduct electricity between the axe head and the metal shroud ?
(Would this work if the axe head was hung with yarn ?)
Is one lead underwater connected to the axe head, the other connected to the shroud ?
Are both leads connected to the axehead or the shroud ?
