We know that the type of steel used in creating a blade is important to a customer. Kult of Athena, the largest Sword Seller on the Internet, believes all customers should know exactly what their blade is made of. So, they created a Steel Certification Program, which manufacturers and makers can participate in, that helps increase transparency and builds trust in our industry.
Scorpion Swords and Knives is listed on Kult of Athena’s site as Platinum Certified. This means we provided an official report from our steel company verifying that our steel they sell us is just as we state on our website – 1095 Annealed Spring Steel. The test report also includes the Chemical Composition of the elements in our steel. Our steel company, which is located in our home town, has been in business since 1960. They receive our steel directly from their steel manufacturer who has been a leader in the industry since 1926.
