Please dont flick your folders.

In my experience, the only folders that shouldn't be flicked open are lockbacks because of bounce. I haven't seen REKAT's new lock designs yet, but can tell you that the old Pocket Hobbit has the same problem (though its incredible lock strength is definitely a redeeming feature). People have told me the Axis lock also bounces. A liner lock's durability and flickability are dependent mainly on the quality of its construction, not on whether the liner is SS or Ti. The SOCOM is a classic example.

rage..i'm pleased to hear you converted
and became one of many military fans.
i'm sure the more you will use it the more
you will learn to appriciate it.
however not to rub your nose,it sounds like
you have the old military version, and the new one comes only in 440v.
make the effort to get the new one..it is
so much better than the ats-34 you have.
i hope i did not pissed you off.
enjoy.

Yet another reason for bad quality knives being sold.

Hey Rage, if you want to show off in front of your friends, and beat on a knife, use your own knife.

I have havd a number of folders along the years and have never seen any problem in flicking them. Even those ones that I traded long ago and eventually happen to get back to my hands don´t seem to show any wear on the liner. I have also learned to flick lockbacks and can say the same about them. I think the problem with flicking depends on "how" the knife is flicked, as some other guys´ posts say. I can´t understand how can someone destroy a Benchmade Leopard´s lock as it is the easiest knife to flick open I have seen, as it does not have the ball detent.
