Hi—haven’t posted in a long time. Picked this Sword up at a Yard Sale today. Can anyone tell me what the lettering on the Blade says? How old would this Sword possibly be? Is it a Samurai Sword? Thanks so much for your help!

This is not a Japanese sword, not even close. It is a very poor example of a Chinese reproduction.
I just found this very similar sword on Worthpoint. It sold in 2019 for $24,500.

Sword inside Scabbard measures approximately 40” on the curve.

Can you take a look? Writing is different & a few other differences.

Nothing similar about them.
That sword at least says 小島吉道 Kojima Yoshimichi, a known Showa Seki maker.
Your sword looks like Klingon. Probably says "Made in China".

Haha ok! I’m bummed! At least I only paid $20
