Pocket/Folding Knives in Movies

Jani,
Unfortunately, I have not seen "Terminal Velocity". Who produced and directed this movie? Who stared in it?

Regards,
MIKLE

"Bad Boys" with Martin Lawrence and Will Smith also had a Spyderco Civilian in a club scene.

"Men In Black", Tommy Lee Jones uses something that looks suspiciously like a Microtech HALO to cut an alien's costume apart.

"Cliffhanger" Spyderco Endura in knee, ouch.

"Eraser" BG has Spyderco Police model.

And I believe in "Cutthroat Island" Geena Davis has a bloody huge navaja somewhere...

I just saw the movie "Three Kings" with George C., Marky Mark, and Ice cube/Tea? They had a scene where one of the marines pulls out a switch blade to cut off Marky Marks hand cuffs. Good movie!

In "Payback," Mel Gibson uses what looks like a Spyderco Viele to cut a gas line, and a BG almost castrates him with a Benchmade bali-song.

A few more I remembered:

Movies:
-General's Daughter, Travolta uses a folder to "coerce" the base armorer to go along with his plan
-The Outsiders, Emilio Estevez uses a balisong
-River Wild, SwissChamp
-True Romance, Christian Slater's girlfriend uses the corkscrew on a SAK to slot a BG
-GI Jane, Master Chief uses an Emerson, I think
-Aliens, Bishop uses a Gerber Mark II to play mumbletypeg with Hudson
Speed, Leatherman type tool used to jam elevator doors open in the beginning
-Timebomb, with Michael Biehn, numerous George Lainhart knives and a SAK
-Lethal Weapon III, scissors on a SAK
-The Abyss, Lainhart SEAL Knife
-Deep Star Six, Leatherman tool
-Sniper, Leatherman tool, Mini-Smatchet,K-Bar,Al Mar Shadow II

What? No Travolta or Cage fans out there?! What about all you Dads that have daughters? Best advice a Dad can give his daughter is in the movie:
'Face Off'
BTW, do the knife manufacturers have to pay to get their blades into these movies? I know Cliffhanger was shot partly in Colorado so interesting that they would have a Spyderco. Anyone know?

Just about every friggin' live action TV show in history has featured an SAK at one poit or another.

A BG in Pacific Blue once flipped out a Spyderco Police model to rip open a bag of rat poison (which he thought to be a bag of drugs). He then dipped the fully serrated (I think?) blade into the rat poison, pulled it out, and licked it- the EDGE, people! He licked the EDGE of the blade. That's the sharp point. I have never understood that.

There was also a big deal in Face/Off when the character being portrayed by Travolta (to avoid explanation complications) very briedly showed his daughter how to use a butterfly. Exceleent, excellent, excellent movie. Mission: Impossible 2 is a great John Woo movie, but a terrible movie, if that makes any sense. Just thought I'd add that.

"A Long Kiss Goodnight"-Geena Davis was standing in front of the mirror, after she assembled her sniper rifle, she held up a dagger. It has a nice looking leather sheath. In the last part of the show, she took out a automatic .

"Mission Impossible" movie, Tom Cruise catch Jean Reno's hand with knife to prevent kill some guy.

Who can forget the movie "Cobra" with Stalone...he shanked the nut-ball at the begining of the flic with a folder which he drew from and opened from his belt. Folder was one of those ridiculously over priced Michael Walker customs....I believe they paid about $8,000.00 for the knife used in the movie and it got approximately....ohhhh......4 seconds of screen time.

Who says movies are getting too expensive to produce.

In the Martin Lawrence movie Blue Streak, William Forsythe uses a Spyderco (Delica?) to examine a bag of drugs.

In Mission Impossible II there is no folder, but the "dagger" used in the end fight is a Kershaw dive knife.

BTW, off the subject...the best John Woo movie, IMO, is not an American film...it's Hard-Boiled starring Chow Yun-Fat.
