It is very late at night right now, and I am bored as all hell...
So...


Here's the situation:

"RED DAWN" actually happens... U.S.A. is invaded by foriegn troops. You just happen to have access to a sporting goods store that EVERYTHING known to man... The owner says "take what you want, and run for the hills, boys"

So, What do you grab?

To make this less ambiguous, you are limited to one of each item only. So... What do you bring?

Obviously the knife/knives are gonna be Strider.... Here goes... answer the following in detail:

What Rifle?

What Handgun?

What Shotgun?

Which Striders: GB or AR? for folders, what model for fixed?

What Boots?

What Watch?

What sleeping bag?

What Clothing?

What Water purification system?

What portable stove?

What rope and harness?

Which porn queen?

What fire starter?

What food items?


What ELSE? (have I missed anything)

the sporting goods store is offering you free weapons to defend America - at least take a rifle: grab the Browning BAR or Sharps 45-120 or Model 94 Trapper...

Rifle- M1 Carbine,if not that then a Marlin 30-30 lever action.
Shotgun- Remington 870
Handgun- Either a Ruger .44 or a Glock...probably the wheelgun.
Clothes- GI BDU's. anyone else find them incredibly comfortable?
Boots- gotta go with hondo and say Danners.
Flashlight- Not a surefire. Dont linch me. The reason is that the batteries would be difficult to find in this situation. I would go with something simple like a mag lite.
Watch? Dunno.
Strider? Hard to decide. I would grab a Strider,and maybe a Ka-Bar. Would of course have my Carson M4 with me ;)
Pack- I kinda like my camelback,but would like something bigger in this case..


Also gotta add: Few cartons of smokes, ammo, matches/lighters,assorted other small gear (canteens,pots and pans,etc)

Some of you guys make it sound as if you'd have to grab stuff for FIGHTING. I'd get some books..... lots of them. Then, I'd read them until the armed forces beat the hell out of the invaders. If the invaders win, then I'd have plenty of books to read while they realize their idiotic mistake winding up with 250 million pissed-off, whining Americans. Not to boast, but I've been with a porn queen and known several others. They're stupid, insecure, self-absorbed (with very little "self" to be absorbed in), whiny, mentally unstable and completely AWFUL in bed. Did I mention that they're stupid? Reeeeeeeeaaaaaaallllllllyyyyy stupid! What's good about them? They make you want to read more.

Which porn queen? > Preferably one with a lot of outdoor/military trainging, I'll have to look at their resumés.. :)

What Flashlight? > Don't know, something both unbreakable and submersible.. probably some cheap Pelican.. (by the way, a real pity that none of the proper flashlights (Surefire, Maglite for all I care..) make submersibles..)

What fire starter? > My trusted Brunton Helios + back-up ferocium rod.

What Beer? > Guinness. But then I also need a glass, no matter what the circumstances, Guinness requires a glass..

What food items? > Just as many bags of prep/dried food as my pack holds in addition to the above..

Oh and I would scout for a map and a compass, preferable a Cammenga B3H.

At the time, it took me half a year to give the stuff a retry..:D Damn glad I did though, especially since shortly afterwards I lived in Belfast for a while..
