Here is a speak peak at new prototype I am working on, the finished version may vary slightly.
I am still trying to come up with a name for this one and would like your suggestions. It is .214" 5160, at about 11" long.

ooh, I like the harpoon and the curve of the spine. it would be a great shape without the harpoon too.
The guard/choil division thingie looks a little... sharp or peaked to me. Hard to see without a handle sketched on it. I look forward to seeing the finished version. Great start.

I know it's not finished, but the dark part of unpolished steel reminds me of the horizon, so... "Horizon?"

Nice one Ben! Lets see at 11" OAL , Harpoon tip, forward choil for good retrival, a lanyard maybe some horse mat scales?... "HOGSBREATH" cuz with that knife youll be close enough to smell his last:eek: Greg

Ok, This one is gluing up now. I already made some changes to the final design, nothing major just the choil and finger area will be slightly smaller. I will be debuting a new, BRT bladeworks exclusive, handle material on this one too!! Lets just say call it Thunderstorm micarta for now. ;)

lookin forward to this one bro!

Well here it is. I am calling it the B.D.U., Battle-Duty-Utility. Corny I know, but I like Acronym's. :D
The final version of this knife will vary slightly, mostly a smaller choil.
This is also the very first knife ever (that I am aware of anyway) sporting what I am calling Thunderstorm Micarta. It is an industrial grade kevlar phenolic impregnated with brass fibers, kinda cool huh! Anyway here are the specs- 11" Oal, 6" blade of .214" thick 5160.

i like that a lot. i wonder tho if the top part of the blade will hang up in its sheath or tend to cut the sheath. not a criricism in any way. just wondering.

Looks great, good lines. I also noticed your trademark stamp, it appear raised , rather than etched in, really nice. How are you doing you mark.

Jerry

my goodness man that thing is so friggin wicked

i absolutely love this, it looks ready for battle thats for sure

ooo

Thanks guys. Jerry, I hard stamp my blades with 12 tons of pressure, my marks not going anywhere!

I like this a lot. If it would be possible to have one of these shipped to me before the end of this month I might just have to place my order. It would be great if you could also make a durable sheath that can be mounted in various ways that has strong retention but still allows the knife to be drawn very quickly. A tall order I know, but a sweet knife like that can't just have a regular old sheath!

Dammit Ben...every time you release a new knife I gotta get a bucket to mop up the drool...my wife thinks I'm looking at porn. If I just married a whore instead of a lady I could afford one of all of your designs that I covet so sinfully. Keep up the great work. Hopefully I can sell some stuff so I can order that sword...then one of these. Man I need an app just to keep track of all your knives that I lust after.
